Broadband for the Rural North (B4RN) Project is a not-for-profit community group, working on an initiative ‘developed by the community for the community.’ This project sees a team of local volunteers working together to ensure superfast broadband is delivered to homes and businesses across the most rural parts of North Lancashire.
We were approached by Netgear and asked to supply the project with M5300 managed switches.
Tunstall is the latest village to receive superfast broadband. You can see retired Dairy Farmer, Frank Brown showing his contribution to the project in his BBC interview here.
This project continues to expand as the group has now moved into developing superfast broadband for the residents of North Yorkshire too. More information is available on their website.
