This fantastic annual event is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) focussed global competition, for students aged 9 to 19.
This is a fun, hands-on initiative that provides an opportunity to develop crucial skills including communication, presenting and team working.
The really exciting part is that the student teams will follow the same processes that the real Formula One team would, from creating a business plan, to designing, making and then racing their car.
Once the cars have been manufactured, they will then be raced on a 20m “F1 in Schools” racetrack where essentially after completing a number of rounds, the winner will be announced.
Truly valuing the skills in which the students will develop in participating in this project, it was an obvious decision to sponsor this event. Whatever career path the students decide upon in the future, we will be proud to know that we have contributed to the fundamental transferable skills they will take with them. Who knows, perhaps they will work for NCS one day?
The event takes place later this month, when further updates will be available.
