29th July 2015 sees the launch of Windows 10 which has been described as ‘a complete update for Windows’.
New features include:
- The return of the start menu
- A faster start up and resume time
- More built in security
- A brand new, built in browser ‘Microsoft Edge’
- The ability to have 4 app’s open in a single view
- Your own digital assistant ‘Cortana’
Existing Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users have one year to upgrade for free. The upgrade will be offered automatically as per any other standard update.
Before upgrading, please check these system requirements to ensure you have the appropriate hardware:

Alternatively, if you do not yet wish to upgrade to Windows 10, please check your automatic update settings, as you may find the upgrade automatically downloads to your PC regardless. More information is available here.
If you use any of the following current versions of Sage, we urge you not to upgrade:
- Sage Accounts
- Sage Payroll
- Sage 200
- Sage 500
The current versions have not been tested for use with Windows 10 and may not be supported. Sage do not recommend upgrading to Windows 10 until the next releases of their products have been launched.
